Housing Minister Christopher Pincher has published a new 'Business and Planning' bill that includes a range of measures affecting planning regulations, the aim being to facilitate businesses and the construction industry to get back to work post lockdown. These include extending the duration of planning permissions (anything due to expire between March 2020 and 31 December 2020 will automatically be rolled over until 1 April 2021), and to allow construction sites to get permission to work over evenings and weekends.

There are also measures that affect the public consultation process on the Mayor's London Plan, making the Plan available online until the end of the year.
