The boundary of Greater London was established in 1965. Has it gone way out of date? Should it be enlarged to take the Home Counties, which are already full of London workers? Would a Greater, Greater London, with it more powers for the Mayor over more territory, strengthen the economy of South East England as a whole and make it easier to solve big problems with transport, housing and poverty?

Dr Jack Brown, lecturer in London Studies, King’s College, and author of The London Problem; Liz Peace CBE, former Chief Executive of the British Property Federation and current chair of the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation; Andrew Boff AM, former leader of Hillingdon Council, aspiring Conservative candidate for Mayor of London; and Russell Curtis, Founding Director RCKa and a Mayor’s Design Advocate discuss this radical idea with Society Trustee and editor of OnLondon, Dave Hill.
