Privacy and Data Protection Statement
The personal information we collect during membership application, registration for events, and subscriptions to our newsletters is held and used according to the Data Protection Act 1998.
The information you supply will be held online in our membership systems (see here for details of the system’s security: http://www.wildapricot.com/security-policy-overview) and on databases held on the Society’s computers. It will be accessible to London Society employees and nominated Trustees of the Society. Information is used for London Society mailings (including emails), for administrative purposes and for promotion of London Society activities. We will NEVER sell or give access to personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
We use details supplied by all customers who book places on London Society events to process applications to attend; to take payment(s); to send related information; to produce attendance statistics and other management information.
Communication to London Society Members:
The Society expects to conduct most of its communication with members by email. The Society sends regular emails containing news and information about the Society and its events, and other topics we think will be of interest to recipients .
We will assume that London Society members and registered users, subscribers and event attendees consent to use of their personal data for the above purposes unless you specifically indicate otherwise. All email communications contain an ‘unsubscribe’ link should you wish to no longer receive this material from the Society.
Our website server records your visit anonymously using cookies to help us understand how visitors use the site. We use the information we collect to improve the site and provide better services. The information we collect is treated in accordance with the Data Protection principles outlined in the Data Protection Act 1998.
