The first in this series from BDG architecture + design is from the point of view of our next generation of workforce, school children. It will show the results of a project where a group of children design their future workspace in Minecraft.
This gaming platform was chosen not just for its popularity with children but because it’s already being used to aid the design and communication of architectural projects BDG is working on and also could, in fact, democratise the whole process and be the future of how we communicate and experience the built environment ahead of investment.
The discussion will be led by Colin Macgadie, Chief Creative Officer at www.bdg-a-d.com . Other speakers TBC.
Colin Macgadie is the overall creative lead for BDG, responsible for creating world class environments for all BDG clients, regardless of size or sector. His belief that architecture is most successful when people feel a connection to space is reflected in BDG’s studio culture and evidence-based design approach.
His unique understanding of workplace dynamics, and the impact of the built environment on people and culture, has helped deliver innovative solutions and cultural change for some of the world’s leading brands, resulting in an unprecedented two BCO Innovation Awards in 2017 for SKY and WPP.
