Explore Islington’s New River Head– looking at the big picture moves shaping modern London, our walk will take us along the New River’ which in the 1600’s brought water 40 miles from rural Hertfordshire into Clerkenwell. The walk will be led by celebrated local conservationist Alec Forshaw, former long-time Chief Conservation Officer for Islington, and a Trustee of the Islington Historic Preservation Trust. The walk will start in Colebrooke Row, Islington, and terminate in the New River Head, Sadlers Wells.
